Terms & Conditions

This site and related services are provided subject to your agreement with the terms and conditions set forth below. Please read the following information carefully. Continued use of this site will indicate your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions, promptly exit this site.

MyWellSpan is not to be used in an emergency or any urgent situation. The Message Center is for routine health related questions with doctors and offices where you already have a relationship. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911.

Based on your condition or question, you may need to schedule a visit to your doctor's office. Your doctor's office will determine this and notify you to schedule an appointment as appropriate.

Like a telephone call to the office, secure messages will be directed first to staff team members within your doctor's office. Staff from the office may also be responding to your secure message. Information provided by secure messaging will become part of your medical record.

While we make every effort to review your message in a timely manner, we cannot review any messages received after normal business hours, on holidays, or during weekends. It may take up to two business days for a doctor's office to answer a message sent through MyWellSpan. If it takes longer to research and provide the answer to your question, we will make every effort to keep you informed.

You are responsible for your own Username and Password and any information your print and download. If you share this information with other people, they will have access to your personal health information.
MyWellSpan is not guaranteed to be available; system and internet downtime may occur at any time.  MyWellSpan access may be disabled for any user at the discretion of WellSpan.
If a patient photo exists in the WellSpan electronic health record, the photo will be displayed in the profile section of the MyWellSpan account. If you choose to upload a replacement photo, you are responsible for the ownership of the photo. WellSpan is not responsible for copyright material, photos, logos, etc loaded by MyWellSpan users. Profile photos uploaded by MyWellSpan users to their MyWellSpan account do not transfer into the WellSpan electronic health record.
MyWellSpan accounts, and proxy relationships, are automatically disabled for the deceased.  Medical records for deceased loved ones can be obtained from the WellSpan Release of Information Department.

Proxy Access

You may request access to the MyWellSpan health information of your minor child, age 17 and under, adult for whom you act as caregiver or another adult.  To complete this request, visit the Family Access section of MyWellSpan.

For child proxy requests, the parent/guardian must possess the legal right to access the child's medical information.

For adult caregiver requests, proper legal documentation or a signed Adult Proxy Agreement Form must be on file in order to approve the proxy request.

To request access for another adult MyWellSpan user to have access to your personal health information, you must know the other person’s last name, date of birth and phone number to generate an electronic invitation to that person.  If you invite another user, that user will have the same access to read the medical results and documents, current and future, that you are able to see.

Secure messages sent using the MyWellSpan message center are not shared. Your secure messages to providers are not available by your proxy and proxied users can send private secure messages about you that are not available to you.

If you have access to a patient's protected health information through MyWellSpan, you are responsible for maintaining the privacy of the information.  You release WellSpan Health from all liability that may arise from granting you access to this information.  Proxy access can be revoked by either the patient (person granting access) or the adult proxy (person requesting access) by contacting the patient's provider office or managing it within the Family Access section of MyWellSpan.  Revocation does not apply to information disclosed prior to the revocation.  WellSpan Health reserves the right to deny or revoke proxy access at any time for any reason.
